So glad I got to see this show three times...Cincinnati, Milwaukee, and finally in New York. Megan McGinnis is perfection in this role. I'm interested to find out details of the national tour Ken Davenport mentions in the official release.
It's such a charming show! It definitely deserved a longer run compared to some of the other Off-Broadway shows that have been running for years and years but that's usually the way of it. At least we have the live stream which was beautiful.
The webcast surprised me--I found it absolutely charming and very absorbing. I wonder if there's any chance to release that commercially? (Surely with the small cast and orchestra, if they had to deal with contract issues, it wouldn't be a big problem and I think it could help create mor einterest in regional productions)
That would be great, I'd love to be able to go back and keep watching the video after the show is closed.
Very sad to see it go, it's such a wonderful show, and quickly became one of my all time favorite musicals. Crossing my fingers it will have a very healthy life after New York. And I'm also curious to see what Megan and Paul Gordon will do next. I saw his Sleepy Hollow at 54 Below, and have to say I loved the music as well!

I have no insider knowledge, but since a decent video exists, I'll be surprised if it doesn't end up on Broadway HD eventually. Of course, they may want to tour it a while first (though, honestly, I thought the webcast was a great ad for the show and wouldn't have deterred me from buying tickets).
