Saw the last night show of Sunset - final bows included Christopher Hampton and Don Black and then Sir Andrew himself which was a nice surprise - no speeches but Glenn was very generous sharing her bows with the main cast - one very nice touch from her was changing one of the last lines from normal to "All YOU wonderful people out there in the dark" (pretty sure its normally all those wonderful people) - very excitable crowd and any worries I had about seeing the show twice in 5 weeks was cleared by the number of people who seem to have seen the shows 4 times and more and several who had seen both Sat shows - amazing after the ENO declaring weekend fully booked they had the tickets available sign out for the Matinée.

Seeing it from the upper circle did give a different experience to being in the stalls where the tended just to watch singers upfront whereas seeing the whole stage did show off the orchestra and the stairway staging much more and while there are certainly flaws it was a cleverer staging than first impression.

Overall I was fortunate to see Glenn both times and see a true Broadway legend performance on the west end stage- and despite reservations about how ENO have handled the event I will always be grateful for that - now roll on the movie
