Go! AG Loretta Lynch and DOJ

Attorney General Lynch has just made a remarkable brief speech! LGB and Transgender persons should and must be proud! Look out North Carolina.

She was incredibly eloquent.  Wouldn't mind seeing her on the SCOTUS someday.

I know of a lawyer who in 20 years at the DOJ never lost a case. And in her last case, she led a small team for 7 years, battling entire legions of $1,000/hour tobacco lawyers--and won(!) (USA v. Philip Morris)

 

So after this spectacular record, what were Sharon Eubanks' job prospects upon leaving the DOJ? Well, after beating the tobcos--it was tough to get a job(!) (I can't say it happened in this case, but the tobcos have a pattern of grabbing a small to middling stake in all the major law firms in a region. And if they don't like a prospective hire, they're not shy about letting it be known.) 

 

Anyway, Eubanks--or Gladys Kessler, the Federal judge who heard the case--should, as Lynch, get SCOTUS nominations. Sadly, you'll never see it.
