Looking forward to seeing Melissa Errico next Friday in Encores! "Do I Hear a Waltz?"  She has such a lovely voice.  Her rendition of Meadowlark is by far my favorite.

She's going to be a 54 Below for four nights in September and I look forward to seeing her there.  Aside from her talent, she is a genuinely nice, kind person.

Melissa Errico wrote a fantastic editorial for the New York Times on her career in theater.

I was sad to hear about the ideas she brought to Dracula that were shot down. Quite the missed opportunity.

Thank you so much for sharing, I enjoyed reading it immensely. Though I haven't had the pleasure of seeing her live I've loved her voice for many years.

It was an interesting and well-written article, although I got the slight impression that she was complaining about what has really been a very notable Broadway career. Musical theatre does indeed use many archetypal characters. If you are an actor in musical theatre - or any medium for that matter - you've got to accept that you probably more or less fit into certain types of roles and should just be grateful to be working at all.

That said, I am glad she is still working at 46 and that the director of Finnian's Rainbow is emphasizing and incorporating her age into the show in a cool and creative way.
