I believe Alice Lee was in Spring Awakening(Not the Deaf West one).

What is not transparent? LOJ is leaving this weekend and BVD is not coming until mid-August. Whoever performs in the interim is covering, even though they are technically not. You people seem to think that this kind of question has an interest to more than 500 people and it doesn't. If you go to see the show in the interim you are not going to be seeing the first string in this role. In the future I think you can expect that there will not be a press release every time replacement cast members burp. (And I don't think that's a bad thing.)

Hogan, now we're talking about two different things. It's been confirmed that Javi will be taking off one performance a week. I, and many others, are curious as to which performance he is scheduled to do so. This isn't a Burr casting question, as your last post suggests.

They explicitly answered this scheduling question during Lin's run in the role—I don't think it's asking for anything too specific or bizarre. Further, shows that have been running for a long time (Phantom comes to mind) are still transparent about their alternates schedule. You've made a molehill into a mountain here.

I'm seeing this on July 26th,  bought the tickets way back in September cause I slacked on getting them right away but I don't really care who I see, just happy to finally see the show as I've avoided all the threads about it for this long.

I agree we are talking about 2 different things but I think if you look back you'll see you're the one changing the subject. ##185-6 clearly are talking about Harcourt going on as Burr, not the Hamilton alternate. You seem to be aware of this in #194. In any event, fwiw, I agree they should be transparent about the schedule for the alternate and I am sure they will be. But the first performance is 10 days away, and it is possible he will not go on for an extra week or so. I gather LMM is doing all performances this weekend.

Rehearsed. Replacing a Broadway show means spending a lot of time not only rehearsing the show but also observing - watching the show and shadowing backstage. Because BVD is currently in shuffle along, he likely doesn't have time to properly observe or rehearse until after that show closes.

Based on my years in the industry, "trained up" isn't a phrase normally used to describe said process. It's merely semantics but I can understand why mailhandler was confused by such choice of words.

Other then what I saw on the Tonys I'm going in blind. That was first time I had actually heard anything from the show. I slacked on getting tickets and I have no excuse since I live here lol I like going blind into shows whereas my girlfriend will at least read some info about them. We try to see everything that hits Broadway, after this and shuffle along next week we will be down to 6 shows left to see.

There is nothing keeping him from rehearsing now....as long as he honors his contract to Shuffle Along  which at this point is usually nothing but performances.  

 

It's not uncommon, when one has been fortunate enough to go from one as how to another

He probably is rehearsing now, but I would imagine he does not have the opportunity to observe Burr's full performance track (including very important backstage elements) very much since Shuffle Along and Hamilton are on the same schedule.

I think "trained up" is maybe some kind of athletic phrase meaning "rehearsed." Kind of like "try-out" instead of "audition."
