HAMILTON Principal Cast Replacements |

I saw him do cartwheels in Bat Boy. Whatever they change, if they change, will be fine.
Lexi is wonderful as Eliza and Mandy was great as Angelica. Both women have beautiful voices. Not sure why people are so quick to try and tear people down. So mean.
Cant wait to see the guy from Aladdin take the reins as Layfayette/Jefferson. He can sing, but canhe rap? He's physically the polar opposite of Daveed, but so was Seth, whom I did not like in the role.

Yes, James can rap. He's a member of Lin's rap/hip hop group Freestyle Love Supreme. Not sure why people are so quick to post here before doing their research. So mean.

I'm actually so bummed I'm going to be missing him. Seeing it next week, so that's still Seth Stewart... I'd say I'm almost hoping for an understudy but imo none of them are very strong either. I did hear apparently Seth's french accent is better now, so here's hoping? I'm going to try and keep an even mind.
Andrew just tweeted this; FYI:

I'm taking a little break from Hamilton to work on another cool project. I'll be gone 3/27/17- 6/10/17. But I'll be back for the summer!
Not a principal cast replacement :)
But seriously, good for him. Hope he's moving on to something that better suits his talents. He is a talented and very funny guy but I don't think he fit well in Hamilton in any of the roles/tracks I saw him.

Today is the extraordinary Michael Luwoye's final day as the Broadway Hamilton alternate before he leads the national tour as the Hamilton principal. Any word on who'll be the next Broadway alternate for the role?
Nada on the new alternate front?
Looks like Donald Webber Jr. is taking over for Michael!

That could mean he's learning the role as an understudy - even if they move Jevon up they'll need another cover.
Does anybody know who went on for Hamilton tonight? Quite interested to learn a) who's replacing Luwoye as the alternate, and b) if said person will continue to do Tuesday evenings, or if the schedule is set to change.
Jevon McFerrin was Hamilton last night
Don't think you can link Instagram stories, but according to Andew Chappelle and Jon Rua's story, it appears that Jon Rua is returning to Hamilton in what I assume is the alternate position.
Oh, interesting!

based on this, and also on Javi's tweet, it appears that McFerrin was upgraded to alternate? Not that it matters now...

Haven't seen any reports on Jevon. Anybody here seen him as Hamilton? Don't know if Javi will be back in by the end of March, so looks like I could be seeing Jevon.

A friend I trust saw him, and I heard he was excellent.
I saw Jevin. He wasn't Javi, but he was perfectly serviceable in the role. He wasn't transformative in the role, but I had no complaints.

I asked Jevon if he would be performing Sundays, and he indicated that Donald Webber would be covering those perfs, so it appears that Webber is the alternate for now.
I saw Jevon a few weeks ago at what I believe was one of first shows and while he showed potential, he hadn't settled into the role yet. He seemed uncomfortable at times. I have no doubt that he will/would improve, but his performance was a bit rough. I look forward to hearing how he is when he's on stage 7 shows a week.
