My guess about Wednesday is that they're filming pickups for the DVD/broadcast/whatever the h*ll they're doing with the footage that was shot a few weeks ago, and for that they need the entire original cast back (or whoever they're shooting the pickups for).  Thus the OBC will appear as "understudies" for one or both performances.

Obviously just an uninformed guess, but to me that makes sense. We'll see.

Harcourt is NOT taking over full-time until Dixon steps in. He is one of three understudies (the other two being Chappelle and Smith) who will alternate Burr.

I really want to see Sydney as Burr, but I don't want to wait in the cancellation line if there's no set schedule of when he'll perform the role.

That is NOT consistent with the League's information online as rehearsed above. Moreover, it violates the AEA contract: you can't have an understudy without having someone cast in the role.

Josh Gad left Mormon after the matinee of a two-show day and Jared Gertner took over the role that night, but Josh was still technically Elder Cunningham for that date, so Jared got an insert before he was actually the new Cunningham the next day. (Granted, this is three weeks and not half a day, but it's the quickest example I could think of.)

Playbill Vault has been really slow about updating lately, so I wouldn't trust that.

Again, none of the other theater websites have written about who's playing Burr, so I don't think BWW's piece is accurate.

And again, IBDB (you know, the official source) clearly states that Harcourt is Burr from this day until ? (being the day BVD takes over).

Just a curiosity --- does anyone know if Andrew Chappelle has gone on as Burr before? I have only been following him on Twitter for a few months (where he usually mentions if/when he is on for someone) and I can't recall him mentioning it. I know he's gone on for Daveed, Anthony and Oak a bunch.

The current cast page of IBDB actually lists all 3 men as ALTERNATE to Aaron Burr.

Indeed it does. Yesterday it listed only Harcourt so they must've changed it this morning.

As it is a temporary thing, perhaps they were granted a special circumstances agreement.  (Not that I know any specific language that could be used.)

Cervantes was never announced. Why would they not announce him but announce Luwoye?

The Cast page for me has updated. It lists Muñoz as the Principal, Cervantes as the Alternate, and Luwoye as an Understudy.

It still doesn't explain why Luwoye isn't listed on that cast page at all.
