I wonder if they will use the Broadway set for the tour.

Maybe they were waiting to post their closing notice to see if they might get any Tony noms THIS year!

I kid, but actually I'm sad to see it go. Despite its flaws -- which I do fully acknowledge -- I actually really enjoyed this show.

Omg. Among the most brilliant shade I've ever witnessed.

Could "The Bandstand" snatch the Lunt? That's about the time they were hoping to come in. Although a spring opening would benefit them immensely.

Also, is Jeremy starring in London? Doesn't he have a contract or something? Or is that another misunderstanding about his whole involvement?

They/them. "Get up the nerve to be all you deserve to be."

I might have ruined my joke with the follow-up post, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew I was just being lightly snarky.

I think either Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Hello Dolly or Singin in the Rain

The fate of Supergirl is being worked out right now and while it's not one hundred percent, I feel like there will be a second season and thus Jeremy will be unavailable for London. Also, it was announced Alfie Boe and Kelsey Grammer would open the show in the West End.

I really loved this show and haters can hate, and while it wasn't perfect I was enchanted by it. I'm sad to see it go, but that's definitely a minority opinion around here.

Didn't someone around here say Spongebob wanted the Lunt?

Isn't singin in the rain Harvey produced? It could be that.

Sad for people that have lost their jobs but I hope Gary Barlow stays away from Broadway from now on.

A question as far as recouping goes: Would the cost of the original Leicester production be included in the production costs, or do they get to wipe the slate clean after they fired everybody? Does anyone know the real costs, or can Harvey make the number anything he wants to be with a  few accounting tricks? I heard a number of $20 million very early on, and then I saw a figure of $15 million being kicked around much later. Under normal circumstances, it seems that this show would recoup by the time it closes, but the circumstances here were a little different, so what's the story?
