I don't know... Murphy did more than OK with The People vs O.J. Simpson. Certainly a lot better than most here predicted. And with Lange as Crawford, Sarandon as Davis, Stanley Tucci as Jack Warner and Judy Davis as Hedda Hopper... I'm all in!

Murphy also didn't write the OJ miniseries, which is why it did so well- for whatever his talents, he is an awful writer.

As for this, I guess it could be fun, but why not just cast drag queens? Ultimately, that's what all the women in a Ryan Murphy production end up being anyway.

Well Running With Scissors, which had a typically great cast and should have played to Murphy's strengths was a huge flop. Regardless, as OJ showed he is great at getting a good cast and producing. Not writing. I would hope he wouldn't be involved in the writing here either, but given the subject matter we know he (and silent partner in crime, Brad Falchuk) won't be able to resist

Just read "Best Actress" by Jaffe Cohen and Michael Zam, which Murphy and Pitt bought and are basing this project on.

Wow.  Just wow.

This is going to be so amazing, funny, campy, shocking and poignant. A real tearjerker in the best way.
