This is the biggest long-con perpetrated on this country since the Iraq War.  I should attend Trump rallies and sell his supporters deeds to the Brooklyn Bridge.

No one can win the American presidency in the 21st century without at least some support from women and minorities.

He has virtually no support from minorities, and even Republican women are repulsed by him.

The poll shows several major demographic struggles for Trump. The real estate mogul is tied with Clinton among men but trailing her among women by 26 percentage points.

He leads whites by 9 points, but trails nonwhites by a whopping 67 points. He also trails among independents by 11 points.

I hate to say this, but I think he's going to win.

However RedState.com is panicking:

Republicans must know that there is absolutely no chance that we will win the White House in 2016 now. They must also know that we are likely to lose the Senate as well. So the choices, essentially, are to confirm Garland and have another bite at the apple in a decade, or watch as President Clinton nominates someone who is radically more leftist and 10-15 years younger, and we are in no position to stop it,"

Conservatives call for Garland confirmation

I don't understand why the Republican Party keeps shooting themselves in the foot by proffering such blatantly Dunning-Kruger candidates.

I can't think of any field where, in order to achieve the highest level of employment, you don't have to prove your competency. In the field of Education, you not only have to have a license, but you are also required to prove on-going training, else risk losing your license. Can anyone imagine deliberately choosing to be treated by a doctor that you knew had absolutely no medical experience or training?

...and yet, when it comes to the position of the highest political office in the land, where the elected official absolutely must be able to successfully lead our own country, as well as negotiate with the rest of the world, there is no requirement that the candidate have any previous experience holding political office.

If the US were a corporation, and that corporation were interviewing for this position, Trump's resume wouldn't even be seen.

There's an easy workaround.  See Trump.

Here's where things stand as we head into the general election

The bottom line: Don't expect a popularity contest to dominate the narrative this fall. In all likelihood, we're headed into a brutal war of attrition, with each candidate doing less to hype themselves and doing more to demolish the other - driving up negatives and ultimately disqualifying their opponent in the eyes of just enough voters to pull an ugly victory from the dumpster fire.

^Which is what the media would LOVE to focus on.  That's when the only tuning in I'll be doing to the news channels is for the weather and that's it.
