Radiohead's back w/ stop-motion horror music video

Over the past several days, Radiohead's been building an eerie kind of only-Radiohead-could-get-away- - with-this-buzz by essentially erasing all of their social media accounts - twitter, Instagram, Facebook, even their website until they were completely blank, white spaces after sending (to select fans) odd looking scrolls in the mail reading 'Burn the Witch'. Then, over the weekend they teased some mini excerpts of an eerie looking Wicker Man-meets Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer stop motion animation. Today, the full animation was revealed as their new song 'Burn The Witch'. It's bloody fantastic.  More from The Atlantic here.

And another new song and video (directed by Paul Thomas Anderson) and featuring another gorgeous string arrangement by Jonny Greenwood, I presume.  And the new album is out tomorrow (Sunday).  

 

 

I don't know what's going on, but there's a crush of high profile releases from really great alternative/indie acts in recent weeks - PJ Harvey, Radiohead, James Blake, Anohni..
