Anybody thinking of seeing Wicked in Dallas?

I was thinking of doing a weekend trip to check out Dallas and also see the show... since it my favorite show for the mean time :P

What fun things are there to do in Dallas specifically near the Music Hall at Fairpark :)

She did Dallas and what good did it do her.

I've always wanted to go to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, which google tells me is 11 minutes away from Fair Park. I guess that could be considered "fun", if you're a history buff or an "Assassins" fan.

Jay, I went there while in Dallas. It was pretty interesting. The museum is nicely laid out and you learn a lot.

I tend to like places of history like that.

Sx Flags

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

in Washington DC they have a Lincoln Assassination Tour that takes you to Ford Theater, then across the street to the building where he died which they have small museum with the room, bed and shirt he wore. I would love to see a JFK Tour. Do they have something like that in Dallas, Texas?

The Ford Theatre has the coat he was wearing on display. The Dallas Book Depository has a floor which is a museum where the backgrounds of everyone involved and a lot of News reports and of course the Zuperder (spelling?) Film and analyses along with detailed discussions of the various second party shooter and the Grassy Knoll. They also have the corner of the building with the window Oswald fired from set up exactly as it was that fateful day. The Plaza hasn't changed all that much over the years.

Sounds great, Snafu. Even without all the frills and exhibits, just to stand in that room would be eerie, I imagine. Dealey Plaza is a designated Historical Landmark, so it's gonna be preserved in a kind of time-warp forever more.

Also, speaking of Kennedy, a new opera  called "JFK" opened in Fort Worth over the weekend, and runs to May 8!

The Dallas zoo is amazing. Some of the nicest habitat areas that I've seen. If you're not driving you can take the DART (Dallas public train line)  and it drops you off directly in front of the zoo.

I didn't do anything at the jfk museum, I walked around the area and I felt like that was enough for me. The people running out in the street to take pictures while smiling where he was shot still makes no sense to me.
