Get 'em while they're hot! The virtual waiting room that the Public is using is very cool.
I don't know if I will end up liking this show, from what I've read, but I have such a FOMO problem (fear of missing out) that I sprang for a ticket. But you didn't need to know all that.

Did things go smoothly for you after exiting the waiting room? This is my second time dealing with it and having problems on my laptop - it will let me look at dates and seats but will not to add them to my cart. After 10 minutes, it kicks me out for "inactivity" and puts me back in the waiting room. Immediately, it says I can purchase tickets, only to put me in the loop of inactivity etc… I gave up and just called them on the phone

Augh, that sounds frustrating. I didn't have any issues other than the seating map taking a little bit longer to load than usual for the first date I looked at, but then it was smooth sailing.
I didn't have any issues either. I am on a desktop using Chrome. I entered the virtual waiting room, the clock kept me informed as to my wait time, then it said, "Congrats, you're next!" Then it said to click the bar to buy tickets, and then it went smoothly from there.

I'm on Safari… Signed in as a member first. I did try it on my iphone and got the same message. Eventually I got through on the mobile site too.
I was on mobile and didn't have any trouble getting in, just I didn't know what seat I was getting until I checked out. I lucked out & got a $60 seat, which turned out to be the front row. Heh. Hopefully the view's fine from there.

"Mostly, I loved the size of these people's emotions. Nobody has emotions this size anymore. Outsized emotions. Operatic emotions. Kushemski and Vanda are like Tristan and Isolde, they're Paolo and Francesca. Nobody's in total thrall like this anymore. Nobody's overcome by passion like this, or goes through this kind of rage." At this rate, the show will be sold out by then. If you really want to see it, pay $65 for the membership and buy a ticket. Maybe share the extra cost with a group and buy tickets for the group.
As a member, you can buy only one member ticket. It used to be until recently that you could buy a member ticket plus a discounted ticket for a friend if you wanted. But I do agree with the advice to pay the $65 to join. OR if you have the NYC ID card, you get a free year of membership. Such a deal!
