'Helpless' from Hamilton. As someone that almost universally listens to female R&B and showtunes, it might actually be my favorite song ever. Combined with that brilliant rap verse from Lin and Phillipa's glorious vocal runs at the end. Ugh I just love it.
I haven't seen the spring-opening shows yet, but of shows that opened by February, my favourite song has been "My Manhattan" from Daddy Longlegs. But that is off-Broadway, so doesn't qualify in the OP's question as being from this Broadway season. From Hamilton, I most enjoy "Wait For It" and "One Last Time". And from The Color Purple, "I'm Here".
Wait for It. I have yet to see several musicals from the spring, but since this is one of my favorite musical theater songs ever, I doubt it will be surpassed.
Satisfied and she used to be mine are my most played songs on my phone.

The "Helpless"/"Satisfied" chunk of the show is brilliance beyond words. That, of course, isn't to take away from the utter brilliance of songs like "Room Where It Happens," "Non-Stop," "My Shot," "Quiet Uptown," "Who Lives, etc.," "What'd I Miss?," the opener... Oh wait, the entire rest of the show.
I'd also like to take this time to point out my particular appreciation for the song "Hurricane," which I think is severely underrated and serves as a critically important and successful character development point in the show.
Although all of Hamilton is brilliant, "Non-Stop" and "The Room Where It Happens" are my favorite two songs from any musical in history and completely run away with the season for me. "She Used To Be Mine" is another favorite of mine, and although it's not new, I loved "Memories of You" from Shuffle Along.
When I first read through this thread just now, my first reaction was "Why is almost everybody only picking songs from Hamilton?" Then I looked back through the list of original musicals I've seen this season, and I remembered why. I've seen relatively few original musicals this season, and even fewer with scores that I really liked. With the exception of Hamilton, my favorite scores from this season were actually all Off-Broadway (I haven't seen Waitress, American Pyscho or Tuck Everlasting yet). Some of my favorite songs from those Off-Broadway shows were:
I love that this has naturally become an unofficial Hamilton thread. I really just love everything the girls sing: Schuyler Sisters, Helpless, Satisfied, Say No to This, Take a Break...this score is phenomenal.
Stuff I like from other shows: Vanilla Ice Cream, Dear Friend, A Trip to the Library, When He Sees Me, Far From the Home I Love...
"Contentment, it seems, simply happens. It appears accompanied by no bravos and no tears."
