Just read on US News website Gest died @ a London hotel . No cause of death listed. He was 62.

I am on my Kindle and just read it .

Now reports are surfacing he was "strung out on sleeping pills" No idea if this was accidental or intentional

What is eerie was he was preparing for a tour " David Gest Is Not Dead But Alive With Soul" tour. The title needs to be changed.

wow, what s **** thing to say. He may have not been to everybody's liking but he was still a person. Watched him in Celeb Big Brother and he came off so well. Oddly enough one of his cast members thought he was dead in BB when Bowie's ex wife announced 'David is dead' (hence his tour name), he left the show early due to illness. My friend Kavana was in the house with him and stayed friends and I know he's very upset.

I keep reading in articles that he, "died in the same city (London) that his one-time Mother-In-Law died in."

This statement is ridiculous on so many levels.

I'll tell you something. I don't enjoy him. In order to get more money from Liza during the divorce he claimed that Liza beat him. And that he still "felt trauma" from Liza beating him. This is a man who never got a (well deserved) beating in his life. Him I don't like. No. no.

I don't really get the vitriol, either. So he was kind of a grotesque and his marriage to Liza was an all-too predictable s**tshow. Big deal.
