Ok, I'll bite Jay :) Will post more later, love to share and find new music.
Santigold's new album 99 Cents is brill. Here's "Can't Get Enough of Myself" and the less flashy but completely hypnotic, electro-pop heavy "Rendezvous Girl"
And they're not for everyone, but I am obsessed with TEEN's new album. Especially "Free Time". They take a few (or many) listens to warm to but I adore them. Can you tell I'm really into 80's sounding music, lately?
This isn't necessarily that new, but I've been listening to Ryn Weaver's album "The Fool" pretty much nonstop since it was released last June. It's got an eclectic mix of poppy and folksy sounding songs.
I love that TEEN song! I'll give the rest a listen when I have more "free time", heh. With Prince topping the charts again, I suppose the 80s are back in style - see Tegan And Sara's U-Turn (full version) -
Gwen Stefani's album has been a bit of a disappointment, I love Make Me Like You, but the rest isn't doing much for me.
Rolling Stone posted Portishead's cover of ABBA's SOS today, but it didn't take long before it was removed "at the band's request".
Beyoncé is not an ally. Actions speak louder than words, Mrs. Carter. #Dubai #$$$
I'm obsessed with U-Turn. Love Boyfriend, too. I didn't care much for Tegan and Sara when they were doing their granola, flannel sound but love their electro-pop stuff.
The brilliant PJ Harvey just had her first number 1 album in the UK. If you were a fan of the Mercury Prize winning Let England Shake, I think you'll really enjoy the new album - in many ways, it feels like a sister album to Let England Shake.
Roisin Murphy's BAAACK and she's getting dance'y again (but Jay already knows that)
I think Azealia Banks' new mixtape is, largely, a disappointment when compared to her brilliant Broke With Expensive Taste album, but this new... single?... is almost as good as some of that album's dancier tracks.
The gorgeous smoky voice of Bat For Lashes is back...
Underworld's back and it's pretty damn miraculous to have sustained such a long career in electronic/dance music. Love this new song that has a touch of Gary Numan, Blur and maybe a touch of Stone Roses, too.
James Blake has been teasing new songs which (may or may not) be from his (supposed) forthcoming album...
I was just listening to Tegan and Sara's new album in the car given that it was released today, and it made me think of this thread. Upon a first listen, it's absolutely infectious. So much so that I plan on buying tickets to see them for their stop in my town next time I go by the box office. Has anyone else given it a spin?
And Portishead released their cover of ABBA's 'SOS' and retroactively dedicated it to the memory of Jo Cox (god DAMN are we overdue for a new Portishead album):
Yep, CupidBoy, I've been listening to Tegan And Sara a lot. Can't wait to catch them live.
I'm enjoying the new Garbage record, which is exactly what I'd want and expect from them at this point.
Also Laura Mvula. Love it...
...and has everybody else already discovered the brilliance of Christina And The Queens? I'm probably way late to the party, but I've just discovered her after seeing her performance on Graham Norton's show.

Mine, too, Caroline. There's a really nice feature interview with him at Pitchfork in which he talks about connecting to the queer scene of the 80s and 90s. It definitely seems like a sincere connection and not some attempt to ape a scene he was too young to be a part of.
I'm probably going to lose what little indie cred I have left with this one, but I'm surprised to say that I'm really digging the new Rihanna song, 'Sledgehammer' from the new Star Trek film. It's written by Sia (which is pretty obvious), but I really like the pairing of songwriter and artist here. In terms of composition/song structure, it's much more interesting than the usual middling mid-tempo song-by-committee we seem to get for soundtracks these days. In fact, it sounds rather Bond'ish. Sia might be a good candidate for the next Bond song.
I'm not listening to any new music per se, but I have been listening to the following: Arcade Fire (We Exist and Rebellion in particular). The We Exist video is one of the best I have ever seen.
Also listening to Sia, Jeff Beal, and Clint Mansell.
James Vincent McMorrow is beyond amazing. His first album is more acoustic, and his second is more James Blake-layered vocals. It's brilliant and gorgeous.
And if you don't know Maria Mena please check her out. Her songs are interesting and different and love her vocals.
