It had topher grace and Tate diggs and Lesli Margherita. It was filmed like over a year ago. Is this still going to be a thing?

Found Opening Night on IMDB, opening in May...but it didn't list the people you mentioned.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Yes, it was originally called one shot, but then Lesli mentioned it was renamed to opening night or somewhere across those lines. Is it common than shoot a film which ends up not even being released?

It is not very common for a movie to be filmed and then not shown, but it does take a long while sometimes for small indepedndent movies to find distribution (sometimes 2+ years). And when it does find it, it could be a really small distributor and only get released in a small handful of theatres so it depends.
The movie that Jorge is referring to, with Topher Grace,Taye Diggs and Lesli Margherita is still titled One Shot, despite what she said or didn't say about it being renamed. It's in post-production. The other movie, Opening Night, is a completely different piece.
