So this fall I'll be taking voice lessons. I haven't taken them since high school and now I'm a sophomore in college. Any recommendations for some good musical theater songs to work on? I'm a soprano.

I have made this suggestion to several posters, but once more here goes:

 

What singer has your range? Get discs and listen, listen, listen. At some point you will have a half a dozen songs that you can relate to.

 

Singing is so much more that hitting notes. There is text, context and sub text. What can you bring to a 3-4 minutes song that no one else has? Then there's presentation.
