I keep checking for the pre-order page on Amazon as well to get a better idea of when it'll be coming out, but they've gotten nothing up yet as far as I can tell. I hope the time frame suggested by Roundabout's pre-order option is accurate.

Thanks, jacobsnchz14! July 8 would make sense given what we know from Roundabout. I'm sure it'll be sold a few weeks earlier at the theatre as well. Here's hoping for an earlier digital release, too!

If you pre-order directly from Sh-K-Boom's site, they usually ship earlier than the street date and it's cheaper than Amazon and includes free shipping. I may buy the early digital release as well seeing as how I'm throughly anticipating this album!

I love Laura Benanti but she doesn't sing "Vanilla Ice Cream" as well as Ruthie Henshall in the 1994 London version. Plus "Where's my shoe?" Was not delivered well enough.. Direction or performance. 

 

Still, can't wait for a new recording of this glorious show.

I've been listening to the album for the past few days and I really like it, even if Gavin is not as brilliant as he is in the show... His voice sounds a bit off

This recording is stunningly beautiful.  The orchestra is simply divine.

I would just like to mention how beautifully produced this cast recording is.  The conversation comes up frequently (and is taking place concurrently on the thread about the cast recording for WAITRESS) about how most cast recordings in the modern digital era too often have a rather flat, compressed sound making the material feel 'smaller' than it does in the theatre.

But this gorgeous new cast recording of SHE LOVES ME has the sweeping sound of the cast recordings from the great classic era of Broadway. It's not just the orchestrations (grand) but the work of the producer and engineers who chose to allow "space' around the voices and instruments. The result is a recording that is lush and grandly theatrical. Bravo Kurt Deutsch, and Ghostlight Records. Thomas Z. Shepard would be proud!
