Shuffle Along previews |
what are they changing the art to?
Wow that new artwork is a big step down. The old design was so cool. What the heck? Maybe that explains the lack of merchandise at previews thus far.
that's awful. YIKES!!

I can't believe they would replace some of the most inspired artwork in recent memory with that.
WOW. That is a MAJOR downgrade. The artwork was one of the only things this show had going for it.

I think that's a little harsh given the names attached.
Yea. Seriously. Is bwayphreak trying to be funny? I can never tell if people on the internet are trying to be funny.
Yikes. That is bad. It looks like a stock photo and says nothing about the show other than... it may contain dance? I guess?

Having seen the show last night, I stand by my statement. No one in this all star cast stood out to me.
Just saw the show tonight. I'm really glad I grabbed a few extra Playbills before they change the artwork. Anyways, I can't wait for Audra to win her seventh Tony for this. That's all I have to say.
Really excited to see this. Never seen Audra live and really eager to see how this musical continues to evolve theatrically. Seeing it next Wednesday, and won't be able to see the final product, but will be fun to watch how it's developed.
I'd also love an old Playbill, if anyone kind enough would be willing to get me one.

Scott Rudin changed the Blackbird art during previews too.
To anyone who is going soon, if you could grab an extra playbill, I would love to have one with the original (brilliant) artwork before they change it. If you can help me out send me a PM!

We should create some kind of petition to get the playbill back. But what someone said about this being the year of minimal sets really stuck out to me, especially with next year being the year of lavish and grand sets. We will have Comet, Chocolate Factory, Singing in the Rain and perhaps Frozen.

WHy would they care....I don't think a Playbill cover deters or sells tickets.
Gleek...I'm going next weekend, I'll try to grab an extra if you don't get a sooner offer.
I just picked up a "modified rush" for tonight in Orch Row E on the extreme side. Has anyone sat here for this show in the last few days? The guy at the box office, who was very helpful, said the view is very good, so I'm hoping so.
Man, that artwork is godawful. I normally don't care about Playbill covers, but yikes that really does look terrible. The original artwork was beyond stunning too.
