It's been leaked who the mystery queen is. A TV guide type thing wrote a summary for Untucked next week and named the queen. It's underwhelming, to say the least.

The new episode leaked. I don't think anyone has shared the video, but some streaming service that offers a season pass posted it early. Screencaps have been shared.

No one has grabbed it and posted it. They have posted the screencaps. OutTV out of Canada posted it. They said it's on YouTube somewhere.

After watching that episode, I don't know if my heart will be able to take Bob and Thorgy ever being up against each other. I adore them both so much!

It's also refreshing this year to have a lot of girls who can pull out a decent performance. Last season in particular, only Ginger and Katya could ever be relied on to bring anything to a performance challenge, but most of these girls actually have some chops to them. I don't think I've ever enjoyed an acting challenge as much as this one, and I've never even seen Empire.

Right?! It was really just a perfect episode. And after watching it, I can't see Derrick going very far. Like Courtney, she's pretty but...that's about it.

Granted, it's only been a few episodes, but I think Courtney was far above what Derrick has shown thus far. She was great in the musical challenge, and even though she wasn't on the level of Adore or Bianca, she never really embarrassed herself in a major way. Derrick is certainly striking as hell, and while I'm sure she has some performing skills, it hasn't really revealed itself yet. I'll be interested to see if Ru's warning sets a fire under her ass.

It was interesting when Michelle said that the clothes were wearing Derrick because they aren't his clothes. He borrowed most of what he brought because he only has Britney. The runway look last week was from Chad Micheals. I just don't think he has much to offer beyond Britney. 

 

This group is SO talented. I am loving the season.

Bob's performance more than made up for the anticlimax of the returning queen.

I can't find RuPaul this time around. Where is it? Did Logo lose it? All I can see are Golden Girls reruns?

It does seem that Thorgy and Bob are the most entertaining queens this season, but RuPaul does often skew towards more glamorous gals. Because of that, I can see Naomi progressing further than her talent might justify. But I'd love to see Bob and Thorgy and Kim as the final three.

My love for Kim is actually starting to fade a little bit. She can turn out a look better than anyone, but she really isn't a skilled performer- she certainly tries, but the results aren't exactly great. I think she'll go far, but unless she steps up her game on the performance front I don't think she should be Top 3.

Though Bianca and Jinkx both took home the crown- both are more entertainers than glamour queens. But I do agree that Naomi will probably be able to skate by on the merit of her legs alone.

Thorgy and Bob are amongst the most watchable queens ever on the show. I thought Michelle's comment about how Bob's charisma lets her carry off less than impressive looks was very telling.

Very true, and I'd add Sharon to that list as well (although her performing skill is far less than that of Bianca and Jinkx); but the first three winners were gals who could do a great look and little more (BeBe, Tyra, and Raja), and then last year's winner, Violet, has more beauty than performing talent to offer (I think). Which is why I wrote that I think Ru skews a bit more towards glamor than performing talent - 4 of 7 winners who are more runway than stage.

That's all fair. Ru herself is more of a glamor girl (though obviously is also a very capable performer).

I just would like to think that World of Wonder/Ru has realized that a personality like Bianca is a lot more profitable and useful than having a living mannequin represent the show. A lack of real personality is what really sunk last season, too. I'm glad that this season has stepped it up and found engaging queens. Thorgy and Bob have more charisma and personality than all of season 7, save Katya, combined.

Bob, Thorgy, and Chi Chi are my top three right now. 

Was anyone else howling with laughter at Bob's runway...shuffle? My friends and I had tears in our eyes.
