This is sort of a tangent, but in past years, five years ago maybe, it seemed like all the rushes and lottos were front row seats. Now? That's rare. You usually get obstructed seats or rear orch or something.

I usually just use TDF now for the convenience factor, plus the seats are usually good. There may still be rushes with great seats, but they are certainly less common.

I think TDF is particularly good for Off Broadway, because those theaters are smaller. Usually, there are no bad seats. (Of course there may be exceptions.)

I rarely do rush anymore. TDF is much better. The last four Broadway shows I saw through TDF all gave me good center orchestra seats. As neon says, rush has increasingly become a way for theaters to sell of their least desirable seats -- which is fine, but I'd rather take my chances with TDF for close to the same price.

Also, if anyone's interested, tonight's performance of THE FRONT PAGE has been added.

Is Josh Groban really not in for Sat 12/24? In the body of the TDF page for the show it says Dec 15 he won't be in (from the last time he wasn't in). Can anyone confirm he will definitely not be in Sat 12/24?

We saw yesterday. Even without Josh Groban is was a great show. We were seated in front mezz, and I really wouldn't want any other seats except perhaps on the stage. We're now looking at buying stage seats (at full price, ugh) for later in 2017.

How much are the tickets for Broadway/popular off-broadway shows recently being priced at. Debating getting a membership but I want to make sure there are tickets that are actually cheap but are good shows that I'm interested in.

Broadway shows are about $41-$47 with a $4 handling fee. Off broadway shows are about $30-$40. And seats are usually really good

Musicals are a few dollars more than non-musicals. Lately the seats have been amazing!!!

Mine [matinee last week] were center orchestra, about 4 rows from the back. Not the best I've ever had, but not awful.

I was seated the last row in the orchestra, on the right, seats 20 and 22. Not the best but, for the price, can't complain. I've never gotten great seats through TDF though. My friend on the other hand, always seems to end up with premium seating locations!

The 12/23 matinee of Front Page was 4th row left orchestra. Amazing seats. Everyone in the immediate vicinity got tickets through TDF also.

1000 Thank yous for posting this. I picked up a paid for Tuesday night and by the looks of the amount of empty seats on Telecharge, we should get decent seats.  I'm really surprised at how many unsold seats there are.  I remember looking at the beginning of the run, and availability was slim.  Fingers crossed.
