I saw Avenue Q back in February. Our seats were orchestra center, row K, right on the aisle. The view was fine, except hope that no one tall sits in front of you because the theatre isn't sloped very much.

Reports from friends are that matinee was great today. I ordered tonight the minute they came up on tdf (not sure that matters) and am in rear Mezz. Sigh
We've gotten a lot of rear Mezz for Groundhog also. Haven't been a good few weeks for us
^ The day I ended up getting same day Groundhog Day tix through TDF a few weeks ago, they were center front mezz. Luck of the draw.

Actually I really don't know if it is luck of the draw, or what time you pick up your tickets! Often times the box office will pick the tickets from the top of the pile so most of the time the earlier you pick up the tickets, the better!

Don't the envelops usually have the patron's name on them, so when you go to claim your tickets the box office attendant just scans through the stack to grab the ones pre-assigned to you?
I've used my TDF membership a million times and they've ALWAYS been in an envelope. The box office person does out them in the envelopes but I've never seen them just give out tickets out of a pile.
I really do wonder how they figure out who sits where when it comes to TDF seating. By name? By the time they were purchased? Does anyone know the actual answer?
Oh I'm probably wrong then about choosing based on time slots. As I recall when I got mine from Phantom they were just in a little envelope (like the ones they use for the lottery) with the show logo and an ad on it. But I'm also not sure how they choose where they are located, then!

The tickets are always in an envelope with your name on it, so pickup time doesn't matter. Not clear to me that order time does either--I've gotten bad seats to shows I ordered right when they came up, while other TDF people are sitting in front of me.
I've sat in seats that you can get for $50-60 with a discount a number of times with TDF. It often doesn't save me much.
Sunset Boulevard is up for May 17, matinee and evening. (Now just matinee)

Yep. And I'm free Wednesday afternoon, so I guess I'm seeing Glen Close...likely from afar, given my recent TDF luck
Anyone know where TDF seats for the SB matinee have been lately?

I do. TDF sends each box office a list of patrons who purchased tickets, in alphabetical order. It's up to the box office to sit them at their discretion. tickets are supposed to be at a certain price zone in the theater (if it's a $47 TDF, then it should be around the $90-$100 price zone). Most places will put a few seats on hold at the rear of that price zone so they can try to sell the best seats at full price while still reserving space for TDF patrons. This is why you are often rear/side orchestra with TDF. However if certain seats don't move and they need to fill in holes, then they might move TDF down to fill in those places.
The comments referring to piles of tickets are probably for papering services. I don't know of anyone who leaves TDF tickets in a stack. The list arrives a few hours before the show giving. The box office enough time to seat them. I'm always surprised when I see reports of last row mezz, as that is not where TDF seats should be for a Broadway show. But they are usually less likely to police Broadway houses since those tickets are the big sellers on the site.
I've seen Groundhog a number of times on tdf tickets. Been rear Mezz 3 times, at least once very last row
Within the last week: Indecent on Wed night rear center ORCH-- excellent view!
OSLO: Rear side loge-- view wasn't bad-- definitely hoped for better though-- incredibly well done show.
I hope Bella is up again. I want to go later to see if things change after previews but the pricing for that theater is weird.

Anyone ever bought a ticket to a 54 below concert? How's the seat?

Up to 54 Below. I generally get a regular table seat, but I've gotten really good ones on occassion
I saw someone posted above about where their TDF tickets were for Indecent. Anyone else bought tickets on there for Indecent and can post where their seats were? I'm planning on buying for Friday night.

My friend and I went a few weeks ago to a Sunday matinee and we had side Orchestra Row K, two seats off of the aisle. Great seats!

I went on Tuesday, side Orchestra last row all the way to the left against the wall. Had to duck my head down to the see the translated projections on the wall but other then that it was a fine view.
