Summer Stock Work Help!#1
Posted: 2/18/16 at 11:07am

Hello fellow theater makers! heart

My name is Hannah Lola and I go to IUP! I am a sophomore and my resume doesn't have the most experience on it, which I think is affecting my chances at getting hired for the summer. I wasn't sure if there were summer stock internships known for hiring college students who need more experience. I have sent many emails and video auditions, but not much luck thus far. So, if anyone has any leads I would be more than grateful for your time and help!

Also, here is my website link if you want to check out more about me and my past work! :)http://hannahlolahughes.wix.com/hlhtheatre

Cheers xoxo

It is probably to late to respond, but I would say you have 3 options

1: Work, work: Just work really hard next year at school, get many roles, make that resume pop. That will help you next year.

2: Look around: Just keep looking. I don't know many sumer stocks so I can't be of help here, just keep looking.

3: Rise up: like a ferret weasel your way in doing tech and perhaps it will lead to something onstage in the theatre. Better to be working in a theatre than Walmart, right?

I appoligise for any spelling mistakes. I may be on my mobile. Clumsy fingers and small little touchscreen keys don't mixx. I try to spellcheck, but I may miss something.

Most summerstock companies have already auditioned and interviewed people for roles and internships and are sending out acceptance letters. If you can't find anything this year, I would recommend taking the summer to train and then auditioning for NETC, SETC, Strawhats, or creating your own audition tour.
