I wasn't aware brawn was subjective as well. All of these people are either scrawny or fat. The beauty tribe has way more brawn.

Ha! He is such a skeeve.  And really stupid.  And easily manipulated. He thought he was running the house but he was such a goat. He was obsessed with a girl named Amber in the house.  He acted like your worst redneck boyfriend nightmare.

Looks like they cast it first and then decided on the theme and just made do with what they had...

That first vote was already a bone-headed move (of which there will be many if the first episode is indicative of this season).  And I'm always surprised when someone tries to scapegoat whoever is looking for an idol as being shady or untrustworthy.  It makes ZERO sense.  It's far more shady to be openly throwing targets on people for doing exactly what everyone should and will be doing every day.  Those are the people I'd target first, knowing how eager they are to throw someone under the bus for no good reason.

Oh!  And what was the deal with the bug in the girl's ear???  I was surprised she had to deal with it for so long!  They never showed a medic or anything.   And then they just watched it crawling around on her ear when it was finally out.   That was so messed up.

We finally watched the premier last night. The groupings seem odd, but there was a hint in the beginning that they are in the groups that THEY described as their strengths. So I assume it all came out in interviews. Who knows what the producers are thinking. They've been messing with a good thing after the first few seasons.

Darnell seemed like a nice guy, but his performance at tribal was just asking to be voted off. Alecia also almost talked herself off the cliff, but Darnell's sword falling was just terrible gameplay.

I quickly have taken a dislike to Alecia and that knowitall Debbie. Oh, and that narcissist, who ain't that good looking, Nick!

The others seem okay so far, but watch out for Caleb. He'll start to annoy y'all soon enough. He's one of the dumbest players in BB history.

I love a good blindside and that was no exception. I can't help but wonder why they didn't vote off Obama because he seemed like a bigger threat since he's sneakier. Also this whole thing where they make the idols harder to find is great. I was so sick of people just looking around a tree and being like "oh, here's an idol." The super idol seems like a good twist and I wonder if someone will get it.

So far this season has been pretty meh. Especially coming off my favorite season ever last year. I wish it could always be that good!  I'll still continue to watch, though. Survivor can always take an interesting turn.

I'm not watching this.  How has Caleb been perceived by the others?  Did they know him from Big Brother?  Has he gone bat**** yet?  His ego will never allow him to just ease through.

Actually Caleb has been kind of low key and gets along well with the tribe. The older Asian gay man is endearing.

Last night was crazy and quickly slipped from entertaining to uncomfortably scary. I think we were very close to seeing Caleb's death out there and that's no joke. The challenge was for coffee and spices, which is a pretty crappy reward to begin with, so all the suffering felt extra pointless. 

 

Scot and Jason are just the absolute worst and I detest watching them. The only way they will be able to redeem their story arcs is if they face a major comeuppance, and the sooner the better.

I'm so depressed that Caleb is gone. It seems like they're going to bring him back for another season so there's some hope. Maybe they could do a tribe of people who had to be evacuated during their seasons. 

 

The fat ex-NBA player (I have no desire to know his name) is revolting. His gross dragon tattoo around his belly button and his Son of Poison backpiece make me want to vomit. The other "Brawn" people are disgusting as well. Hopefully since their tribe is decimated and there aren't any real cracks within the other tribes (aside from Obama) they'll be gone after a tribe switch.
