SAG-AFTRA Awards - some thoughts

The SAG-AFTRA Awards were presented tonight. With all the talk of Awards Season "chatter" the winners were incredibly diverse. Among the award winners, the cast of Spotlight (w/Brian D'Arcy James) Mark Ruffalo, Viola Davis, Idris Elba, the cast of Downton Abbey. Orange ITNB also won.

Games Of Thrones didn't get any love this year. Jeffrey Tambor received his award and made it a point to speak up about transgender issues!! I just wish that, as some actors really put their money where their mouth is and speak up about fairness and equality. What's his name won again for House Of Cards....

To whom it may concern...Stand! You've been sitting much too long. There's a permanent crease in your right and wrong! Stand!

Why can t the oscars and golden globes be short, sweet, and pretty good like this show?  No "host", but just presenters?  Works way better.  Although my fave guys Michael Caine and Harvey Keitel were totally ignored this award season for their fabulous performances i n "Youth".
