The marquee looks great. One question: is the critic quotes from the reviews of the original Broadway production from 1964 or from productions over the years? Other than that, I'm very excited to see the rehearsal footage that'll come soon.

So they posted "Bett" and then went down a line and posted "Midler" and then went down a line and posted "Hello," and then went down a line and posted "Dolly!" and then went back up four lines to post the final "e" on Bette's name? Maybe, if someone caught the error while they were still working. Someone still had to have screwed up at some point unless the picture is shopped.

I heard an elderly man screaming at someone in the shower at the YMCA that the production had already taken in 25 million in advance sales. Of course he said she was starring in Gypsy so he may have been confused all together.

You keep saying this without reading any of the responses above. The "incorrect spelling" was on a picture taken while the sign was still in the process of being put up. It was never a mistake, horrible or otherwise.

I posted earlier that installing the letters, it would be odd to go down then go back up to install the final letter. But on second thought, maybe the letters were put up from the bottom to the top. The "e" would have been the last letter placed and the photo could have been taken immediately before.

I feel silly even taking the trouble to post this.

The canopy above the box office door really bothers me. I don't like how off-center the red 'logo square' is on the side of it.

I also totally agree with the poster who said the red and white should be reversed on all of the huge signs. Would have been 10000x more eye-catching.

I think the awning looks so cheap! Did they spend like 5 cents on it. The awning should play off of the Harmonia Gardens! Red velvet! Whisk us into the world. And this is a legend playing Dolly should feel more important.

Hope they put some money into the sets!...this is totally dollar store in my opinion...

Well, Santo Loquasto is the set and costume designer of this revival, he might come up with some great stuff. You never know.
