I like how young the leads look, younger than in the movie, it will make them getting trolled at the house all the more funnier, and it fits the ( supposedly) wholesome newlywed characterisation at the start.
Reeve Carney was Spider-Man on Broadway right? If he survived that show he can handle anything!
Victoria Justice is a talented gal, and her acting is very campy. So this could totally work. Fingers crossed for some really good Broadway names for Magenta and Columbia.

Cox is an adequate actress. As a biological male or biological female, she would be no great shakes but not embarrassing. However, her position as the first successful trans woman in mainstream Hollywood has given her more accolade than her actual chops do.
It's similar to Sondheim's "dancing bear effect" that Ethel Merman had: the sheer prominence of the notable performer's adequacy, their failure to disappoint, comes off as a success.
Interesting new rehearsal photos. I wonder if they've even found their Columbia and Magenta yet. Seems weird to rehearse without them, given that most scenes that include Frank include them as well.

Die-hard Rocky Horror fan here. Attended Friday and Saturday midnight screenings while I was in high school at the famed 8th Street Playhouse. Sal Piro hosted the shows and I always got a kick when Dori Hartley performed and shadowed Tim Curry as "Frank".
I'm with you on this one Jordan. They are going to sanitize/bastardize this material for the tweens. If you need any further indication of how, then look no further and watch that godawful episode of glee: "The Rocky Horror Glee Show".
I wanted to punch Ryan Murphy and all of the Fox executives for that travesty.
See, that episode of "Glee" is why I'm so over this. Same network, same rules. I'm sure they'd love to not make any edits, but they have to, and that's why this shouldn't even be happening on FOX. It should be happening somewhere they won't have to say "It only leads to trouble and bad fretting."
The only thing that can save this for me are stage actresses I love for Magenta and Columbia.
They/them.

Carlos, you may have seen me shadowing Eddie on occasion at the 8th St. If not Eddie, I was a transylvanian every week. Anyway, this is going to suck big time. Besides having Cox as Frank, they're now saying TimCurry will be the criminologist. Really? As a result of his massive stroke, he has a hard time speaking.

Oooh Jane I'm sure I have seen you as Eddie! I was there on an almost weekly basis! I was obsessed! Cool!
Isn't Laverne a dancer? If I'm not mistaken, I think that's what her degree is in. (Or maybe she switched to acting at some point).
Her modest acting chops aside, we've never actually seen her range as an actress. I hope she surprises us.
I find her OITNB performance to be particularly two note. Maybe the campy, over-the-top nature of an alien, transvestite, evil scientist will be her thing. That's not often the case with two note performers, but I'm cautiously optimistic because Cox is so damn likable to me.
Ever since ABC got away with Jack Falahee's character on "How to Get Away With Murder" reminiscing/bragging: "He did things to my ass that made my eyes water," I've figured there's more of a pass these days on "naughty" stuff.
