My applogies if any of these have their own threads but I thought it would be fun to have a list of Broadway questions for us to answer and debate about!  I tried to make them as interesting as possible;

7. What movie do you most want to see turned into a musical? Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame

2) On The 20th Century (seeing Kristin's understudy made the whole show pointless and not very good)

4. Most complex character written for theater?  Miss Julie (or any other Strindberg tragic lead)

5. Guilty pleasure musical?  XANADU

6. What show do you most want to see a Broadway revival of?  HIGH SPIRTIS

7. What movie do you most want to see turned into a musical?  FLIRTING WITH DISASTER

5. Guilty pleasure musical? - HEATHERS

6. What show do you most want to see a Broadway revival of? - KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN

7. What movie do you most want to see turned into a musical? - FRED OTT'S SNEEZE

8. Team Ivy or team Karen? - DUH (Megan Hilty all the way)

9. Favorite Broadway director? - CASEY NICHOLAW, BART SHER (tie - although they're almost polar opposites)

10. What show was the biggest disapointment? - WOMEN ON THE VERGE

THANK YOU!! --  For all these year I've been thinking I was the only person who absolutely, completely hated The Civil War.  On my list on "worst shows" it holds the permanent Gold Medal -- and then you have to take a long pause before I get to my next one on the list, which was merely "not so great."  And that's 60 years of Broadway!

2. Worst show you ever saw on Broadway? The Book of Mormon

3. Most under-rated Broadway actor/actress? Montego Glover

4. Most complex character written for theater? Don't know, haven't read or seen every play

5. Guilty pleasure musical? Rock of Ages

6. What show do you most want to see a Broadway revival of? Dude, with the original stage design

7. What movie do you most want to see turned into a musical? None

8. Team Ivy or team Karen? Don't care, that show sucked

9. Favorite Broadway director? Don't really have one. Michael Mayer, maybe.

10. What show was the biggest disapointment? Hamilton

Hmmm...I've tried to post this twice now... maybe third time's the charm?

Ha!  I loved both THE CIVIL WAR and SHOGUN (though it was WAY better in DC, pre-Bway)

 

1.  Favorite non-Tony winner:  Easily Next to Normal 2nd place TIE: Side Show, Grand Hotel, American Idiot and Matilda

 

2.  Worst show I ever saw on Bway: The revival of Jekyll & Hyde, the first and, so far, only shows I've fallen asleep at.

 

3.  Most under-rated actor/actress: Mary Faber, Heidi Blickenstaff

 

4.  Most complex character: TIE for musicals: Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd (so much under the surface, there) and Diana in Next to Normal

 

5. Guilty pleasure: Starlight Express

 

6.  Most desired revival: City of Angels

 

7.  Movie to musical: Heart and Souls

 

8.  Team Karen

 

9.  Favorite Director: Michael Mayer/Michael Greif - love them both, always confuse one for the other, and for a feel good show, Jerry Mitchell

 

10.  Biggest disappointment: Aspects of Love (I have since seen the show regionally, and would like to delve deeper into it...)
