Interested to hear where the seats are, if anyone that wins can post where later?

I'm in row J of the mezzanine on the left side, which for the price of $40 is a bit underwhelming.

And on a weekday, too. But they do sell very well, so they might see no reason to sell Orch tix for lottery/rush prices...

Why is that underwhelming? The lowest list price is $55 for rear mezz. Row J is a $79 seat, I believe. They don't have to offer you a lottery at all. The entitlement is overwhelming.

Looks like the first eight seats in side/J/mezz would be $79, and the rest would be $55. I have to say, I'm glad I lost... there were a decent amount of rear orchestra when I entered, which is the only reason I entered.

Are you trying to prove me wrong? That's still a $15 discount. I don't understand.

Not wrong, no, just saying that row could be either price. And a $15 savings to sit that far back and up just made me glad I lost...

And being that I've seen the production already, I didn't have to enter at all. Like haterobics, I entered because it looked like there were a decent amount of seats left. A good portion of the front and side mezzanine was actually empty. I didn't say I was "entitled" to, or felt I was owed, anything. I simply expected it to have gone differently when it was said to be "subject to availability."

So, my friend and I both entered today, and actually had another friend enter as well to increase our chances... and we ended up ALL winning, so this must be pretty easy to win. Judging by the amount people picking up lottery tickets (there was a separate line) they seems to have a lot of them.

We were in Row H, side mezz, which is assume is the $55 seats (didn't check), but considering it so easy to win and there aren't any discounts I think it's still a decent deal. The view was actually really good! The mezz has a large overhang and it steep, so I felt pretty close and had a good stage view. It helped that the 4 rows in front of us were empty.

I'm not really sure on what basis they're assigning the lottery seats. It seems silly to fill up the theater from the back, considering they are only giving out the tickets 30 min before the show so they *could* be flexible with what's available or not last minute. We ended up moving down a few rows at intermission. So I think it's definitely weird, but I liked the seat and overall happy to pay $40 for that seat and the show, which I didn't love but thoroughly enjoyed!

I also won the lottery and was seated in Row G of the mezz, three seats in from a side aisle. Not bad, but I was able to move down and center during intermission.  There were numerous empty seats in certain rows of the mezz, which I attribute to celebrants preparing for their holidays. I also did not love the show--too many cliches and slowly paced scenes that bogged everything down in spite of the rousing upbeat numbers that nearly saved it for me--but I'm glad I experienced it.

Mamaleh, I believe you were my seat neighbor. We were wondering what happened to you in Act 2. I didn't love the show either but not enough to leave at intermission, so glad to know you found another seat.

Were you the nice couple on the aisle?  Sorry if my right leg stretched out too much at times. That was actually the primary reason I changed seats.  My right knee occasionally becomes painfully swollen, and did so last night.  So when I spotted an empty aisle seat a few rows down and on the center aisle right, I grabbed it during intermission.  So much more comfortable.

Not a couple, however, but often mistaken for one!

I won on Thursday, January 28th and was given Orchestra Row P seats 19 and 21. A slight partial view, but overall, really good seats for $40.

Agree! And  I thought $40 was steep! Yikes.

Wow. Surprised they raised this.

Anyone remember a lottery being raised like this before?

I was about to enter this morning and was shocked to learn that it's $50. Obviously producers don't owe us anything, but $50 seems a bit disingenuous, no?

This does seem to be a win win type of lottery-  they fill any empty $79 seats day of , people save $30 bucks.

Agreed, it's an easy lottery to win.  I've entered twice and won both times.  First time got the notification too late . Yesterday I won but, was surprised at the increase from $40 -$50.

I'd rather go to Tkts right before the show and snag better seats at half price....

I'm not ungrateful, just a bit smirky when a  discount code price is disguised as something special to "win".

$50 is not a lottery price. That entirely defeats the original intent of rush policies, which is to provide a means by which expensive theatre tickets can be accessed by those who cannot afford them normally (no, in my opinion, $50 is not affordable for a student or young person or any person who is not making great income, even though it is cheaper relative to standard Broadway prices).

Very disappointing.
