I had the pleasure of seeing First Daughter Suite at the Anspacher Theatre at the Public, and I was just blow away at the beautifulness of that theater. I loved the thrust stage, but most of all, I just loved all the history in that room. The columns that surrounded the audience. It felt like a mini little Lincoln Center. And, if you looked up past the lights, you'd see there is a wrap around balcony and the room actually extends quite aways up to the ceiling. Has the balcony ever been used for a production? I thought it might be cool for some Shakespeare or something. Anyone know the history of the space? I just really enjoyed it. In fact, all of the Public spaces are super unique and interesting.

I believe it is a part of the 3rd phase of the original library known as the extension of the north wing. If I am right this is what it looked like

Oh wow! Beautiful! Thanks for posting Hogan. I've always wondered what that room used to be every since I first saw a show there.
