Looking forward to Fiddlers performance. And I hope Finding Neverland does something different for a change. They always do Believe or Stronger. They should take a chance and do Something About This Night or Play or something.

It's not that I don't enjoy "Believe" but they have done it so many times now on many different talk shows. I would assume though that the producers didn't want to perform any songs with Frohman/Hook, since they are trying to now advertise Kelsey Grammer's return to the roles, and not confuse anyone with Terrence Mann in the parade.
The Fiddler chores looks a bit frenetic. I'm wondering if Hamilton has encouraged other productions to kick it up a notch.
Also, I haven't seen Finding Netherland, but I thought it was a nice touch at the end for the camera to pan up the side of the Macy's building to show the word Believe.
On Your Feets performance sucked. I never will see that. The King and I, Neverland, and Something Rotten were all good but we've seen it before. Oh my God though, Fiddler blew me away. I am so excited to see this. It looked amazing.
I feel like choreography for The Wiz weighs behind vocals and what Cirque du Soleil is going to bring to the show (which we didn't see here). I'm expecting a great show next Thursday.
ScoreCard at 2/3 mark on a scale from 1-10 ( with 10 being top)
*5 -ON YOUR FEET- Generic yet energetic opening that tells you nothing of the show. Showing the last thrilling 10 minutes of the show is surely misrepresentative of the rest of the show
*10-THE KING & I- Perfection.
*5 -FINDING NEVERLAND- Been there, done it. It seems the show has been playing for 3 years already.
*7- SOMETHING ROTTEN- Great number that theatre purists will ”get” and enjoy. Out of context it's just another fun number.
*10- FIDDLER ON THE ROOF- Great choice for the excitement factor alone. Loved the fresh movement by the new choreographer.
*4- THE WIZ- Is Debbie Allen back? #HideousLooking
I thought The Wiz looked awful. The choreography was surprisingly old fashioned. I've said from the beginning it's a terrible musical. It has some great songs and some awful songs. The book is a disaster. I don't think they solved any of the problems from what I saw. The girl playing Dorothy looks like she is 30 years old. I don't know how old she really is.
I DID think the dancing on Fiddler was really wonderful. Wasn't sure of the new look for Lazar. It's Fiddler. It may have a few changes but you can't "reimagine" Fiddler. It's locked in. And it's a great show, one of the best.
