Oh, Hey Guys!

On Tuesday Oct 20th I'm bringing my one man show to Rockwell: Table and Stage for ONE (MORE) NIGHT ONLY!

It's called Dances With Pitchforks: Confessions of a Farm Boy

In a nutshell, it's the story of the time I performed in the musical Gypsy at Paper Mill Playhouse starring Betty Buckley and Deborah Gibson.

It's a fun, gossipy back stage tale that I assume you'll enjoy if you're on this site.

Hope to see some of you there!

Dances With Pitchforks:
Confessions of a Farm Boy

One bona fide Broadway legend,
One certified pop diva,
And one resentful non-Equity chorus boy

What happens when divas collide? Find out in John Flynn’s award winning one-man show, Dances With Pitchforks: Confessions of a Farm Boy. The year was 1998. Starring in Paper Mill Playhouse’s production of Gypsy were Broadway legend Betty Buckley, pop star Deborah Gibson, and John Flynn as non-Equity Farm Boy #5. And like any non-Equity Farm Boy #5 with too much free time on his hands, John shares tales of rehearsal antics via e-mail. And from there on out - all Hell breaks loose! It is a story of dashed hopes, fragile egos, lost innocence, and grown women in cow costumes. First performed in 2002 to rave reviews and standing ovations in New York, Los Angeles, and Key West, John Flynn brings Dances With Pitchforks back for one night at Rockwell Table and Stage.

For the past several years, John Flynn has been performing, directing, and teaching at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade in New York and Los Angeles. Credits there include Showgirls! The Best Movie Ever Made! Ever!, the long running Nights of Our Lives, and the one man shows Faggot Munchkin and Baked! Musical director is Steve Lavner, who performed on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast (LeFou) and served as musical director for Butch It Up 2: Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. Serving as director is Jason O’Connell, writer and performer of the acclaimed one-man show, The Dork Knight.

Dances with Pitchforks returns on Tuesday October 20th at 8:30pm at Rockwell Table and Stage, located at 1714 N. Vermont Ave. Tickets for the performance are $10.
