Need Help Picking a Song#1

Hey! I need help picking a song that would be right for me, and I wanted to see if any of you would help. I sing high for a male, so the song would fit Alto or Tenor. Also, I'd prefer it to be from a musical/musical movie.

Thanks!

You need to be really specific about all this, including the style of song, the era, the overall feel of the musical/song. Record yourself singing a song, and listen back to it. You might find that you sound a bit jazzy, so look at songs from Guys and Dolls, The Wild Party, anything with a swing/jazz feel to it. If not, maybe it's more legit style and you should look at operetta's or more classical musicals e.g. Les Miserables, Phantom, Gilbert and Sullivan etc.

At the moment, you have a very wide range of options for a song, so try and narrow it down as much as possible while also keeping your options open and varied.

Hope this helps!

What singer has your range? Figure this out. Then start listening to their recordings. You'll find a song.
