Whoohoo! I had a hunch that Massey would be taking the role on tour (I first saw him on the Little House tour). If it wasn't for an appointment at 8am two hours away, I would be there opening night in Chicago. Opening weekend will have to do.

I never heard of them, but I do have to say that they look too young.

I saw Kevin when he went on as Monty here on Bway and  he was great.

John was fantastic in all the tracks that he did in Les Mis (tour, Toronto, Bway) and was probably the best Javert ever. He'll be perfect as the Family.

Those photos are a little bit old, but they can pass as the ages of the characters.

 John is quite a bit younger than Jefferson or Greg, yes. However, considering the age range of the D'Ysquiths, that is not necessarily a bad thing.

Monty, really, is early-mid 20s. He is an I married man it the turn of the 20th Century.
The Actor playing the family can be a wide age range as the characters are such a wide range as well.

I saw this tonight. The cast is fabulous. John Rapson was the real standout. His comedic timing is perfect and I was laughing hysterically the whole time. Massey is also delightful as Monty. 

 

I hadn't seen this on Broadway as I knew I was catching the tour. I heard such great things about Jefferson Mays I was worried I made the wrong choice but I don't feel like I missed out in the slightest with this cast!  A really fun evening. 

 

Definitely recommend catching this if it comes near you.

Also FYI their pictures look way way younger than they come off on stage. They seemed age appropriate for the roles.

I exchanged my tix for GG (from my season tix package in DSM, IA) for something else. I saw on Broadway last year and one time viewing is one time too many!
