My boyfriend and I were going through some things when we noticed this old window card that we had forgotten about. We're about to move and money is a little tight so I took to Google to find out how much we might could get out of this thing. It's not in the best condition but is signed by the entire original Broadway cast of the musical.
The prices listed on Ebay for something similar but in perfect condition was as much as 700 dollars, which honestly took me by surprise. I hadn't hoped to get more than 100 bucks out of it. We're not entirely sure about selling it, but if we did I'd like to know what would be a good price for it. If anyone on this forum could help me out in figuring out what this is worth I'd be much obliged!
If it's only thumbtack holes and the corners are not dulled and the edges are clean and crisp, I'd list it at $175. That's if it is the black poster with the full credits on the bottom. If it's the other black poster without credits or the white poster, maybe $100 - $125.
Thanks for the info. It does have the credits on the bottom, but one corner is pretty rough compared to the rest of it. I got a little excited when I found the Ebay listing for it, but I did feel like 700 bucks was a little pricey! Would one in perfect condition be worth that much?
Some eBay listings are insane and really shouldn't be taken seriously, like that one lol.
Sounds like yours is in the $100 range. If list it as an auction starting at that price and see what happens. If it were in absolute pristine condition, I'd say to put it up for $275.
But as far as these posters go, condition is really important and drastically has an impact on the value.
Wish we had taken better care of this thing now! Drat!
After really looking it over I noticed there's a small tear on the top and there's a couple spots on the side that look less than perfect. But if anyone's interested or wants to make an offer for this thing, I'd be willing to sell it.
If something is listed for $700 on eBay, the reason you are still seeing it is because it isn't selling at that price (unless you are searching completed listing only, which is a more accurate measure).
