Belting Audition Song

Hi, all. If this is posted in the wrong place, tell me.

As cliche as it is, I need an audition song for The Addams Family for Wednesday Addams. I've already played Alice in this show, but now it's not going to be a youth show anymore and I want to stay in it, so the only age appropriate principal is Wednesday. (I really do prefer Alice-- "Waiting" is one of the most fun belting songs ever-- but hey, Wednesday's cool too!)

I have an extremely wide range and excellent belting, which I'd like to showcase. But as much as I've Googled, I haven't found any ideas I've enjoyed. ("I Want More" from Lestat came up a lot. I don't really like that song.)

I was thinking about just saying "To hell with it" and going with "See, I'm Smiling" from L5Y, starting from the part where she begins to get angry. The acting's good, I get to belt that stunning last refrain and be angry, and I've performed it before to great success... but it doesn't really fit the tone of the Addams. But really, what does? I mean, it's just hard to find a belting song that is upbeat AND depressing AND funny.

So. Thoughts?

Chat Boards > Off-Topic or Student are where people talk about auditions stuff!

^To be fair...
The off-topic board is a place where people can discuss non-theatre related things, and no one posts on the student board

I vaguely remember a not-too-long-ago thread on this exact topic (OP asked for recommendations for belting songs to audition for Wednesday Adams).  It was sometime this year, i think.  Try the search function?
