How was Ken Watanabe's last performance in The King and I? Can anyone give us a full recap?

I think PalJoey went.
Maybe he'll report back if he sees this thread.

"He did not last long in the role."
He had a contract, and he fulfilled it.

We were so moved by Ken's performance, and Kelli's performance, and Ruthie Ann Miles--and the whole ensemble--that we didn't even notice the First Lady.
There was so much nuance and emotion onstage, that the rest of the world disappeared.
He was very well liked and kind to anyone involved in any way with the production.
Someone said Glenn Close was there over the weekend.
