My not so guilty guilty pleasure is right around the corner, the cast is here! Seems a little small with only 14 people.

Looking forward too!

Only 14 people probably means an early twist. God help us if former contestants join...ugh!

Helloooooo Clay Honeycutt!

Anyone referring to themselves as "John (aka Johnny Mac, the Rock Star Dentist)" I'm going to hate.

The low contestant count has me thinking former players as well...

Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco. Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!

Audrey Middleton is a hard-looking 25 years old.

Is it me or do these people look way older than what their age says?

"Seems a little small with only 14 people."

Evil Dick said in an interview that he heard from CBS Producers that they are brining back old contestants. Not sure to what extent, or the validity in that statement, but just wanted to put it out there. :)

On paper, Steve sounds like the least potentially annoying.  Vanessa might be fun and I kinda like Shelli (except that she names Rachel/Brendan among her favorites).  I'm hoping to like Da'Vonne if she doesn't get all Bible-thumpy.  Most of the guys sounds like douchebags and Meg's description is littered with red flags.  Jason really makes himself sound ridiculous.

There's hope for Da'Vonne as her description says she goes against her bible thumping family.

Yeah, but relative to what?  I'm sort of hoping she'll be like Adjoa from Big Brother UK this season (if anyone else is watching), though I have no idea why she was voted out so early.  Adjoa is a preacher's daughter who is rather Christian in faith, but has the salty tongue of a lipstick lesbian.  She was real fun!

Okay, I just found out Audrey is transgender, so I feel bad about mocking how she looked.

But I don't feel too bad because I would never have phrased someothnig the way the Online Big Brother website did.

The new cast of Big Brother 17 was just released today with a mix of 8 females and 6 males, well not entirely true. What is not a first in the world of big brother but is a first for big brother US is that one of the new female house guests actually used to be a man

Out of this first group, I really like James.  He is this season's Donny.  Unfortunately, I don't think he will go far.  I really dislike Audrey.  For someone who doesn't want others to be judgmental, she sure is critical of others.  (James, when he won)

Meg is annoying as hell.  And Shelli needs to calm down about Clay. I liked everyone else okay.

I find it interesting that a poker dealer from Vegas is going to play with a professional poker player. I bet they recognize/know each other.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I thought the same thing. When Julie said it was a fan favorite twist I was like "who likes this dumb@ss twist?" It's literally the worst.

Twins switching in and out. Been there, done that. Bleh! Unless it's Clay's twin and he's always shirtless.

Clyde, I was watching with my brother, who has seen many more seasons than I have, and I asked him if Battle of the Block was a favorite of his and he gave me an emphatic "No!"  It just takes up so much time that I think could be better used elsewhere.

The Battle of the Block COULD be great with just a minor tweak - don't let the HOHs decide together who the four nominees are.  If they had to decide separately without talking about it, you could get some really interesting play going on.  Imagine if the two HOHs were separated from each other upon winning. The rest of the house could visit with them, they would have alternating schedules for kitchen use etc. until nominations.  The BoB would be FAR more interesting then, without the HOHs skewing it to clearly give one team an advantage over the other.
