RIP - Junix Inocian

It has been reported that Junix Inocian died today.

I recall his amazing performance as The Engineer in the London production of Miss Saigon.

In 1989, Inocian was among the original batch of Filipino actors to be whisked to London after extensive Manila auditions to perform in the Cameron Mackintosh smash hit musical with Lea Salonga and Monique Wilson.

Starting as a member of the chorus, he eventually worked his way up to the part of The Engineer, first played by Jonathan Pryce.

After Miss Saigon he continued to remain in the UK and work in various productions including Cats, Just So and Pacific Overtures to name but a few, he also worked in film and TV.
