Crazily enough I won the TodayTix lottery today! I wonder if this early in the run people aren't remembering to enter every day yet because the odds are never that much in my favor if they're really only giving one pair via that method...
I wanted to add some in-person lottery info here rather than starting a new thread.
The crowd today at The Public was average (it was no HAMILTON lottery). There were about 50-60 people for a large stack of vouchers that were given out. I'm not sure of the exact amount of vouchers but only about 3 people didn't get their name called. Seems like a good bet this early on if you don't feel like waiting at the park.
Anyone have an idea of what time you redeem the voucher (5-7pm) makes a difference in the seats you get? I know the standby line usually gets the best tickets since it's cancellation from donors.
"Pardon my prior Mcfee slip. I know how to spell her name. I just don't know how to type it." -Talulah
Yes, if you have a voucher, best to get to the Delacorte sooner rather than later. You'll go to a booth where two nice staff members are handing out the tickets. There are stacks of tickets in there, so those staffers have a lot of lattitude in deciding where you'll sit. The earlier you go, and the nicer you are, the more chance you have of getting good seats. So get there really early, be nice, and schmooze with the people in the booth!
Thanks for posting about the scene at the Public. I had been wondering. I feel sorry for the three people who didn't get called!
After 6 years of trying I finally won the virtual lottery today. I don't know if it was just my luck or of there were a good amount of spaces or whatnot. Pretty pumped!
I won the virtual lottery tonight and my tickets actually have my name printed on them, so it doesn't matter what time you pick them up; you'll get the seats assigned to you. (Obviously it's different for the voucher tickets, though; I'm just sharing for people curious about the virtual lottery.)
Is the TodayTix lottery and The Public's actually virtual ticketing lottery two different things?
"Mostly, I loved the size of these people's emotions. Nobody has emotions this size anymore. Outsized emotions. Operatic emotions. Kushemski and Vanda are like Tristan and Isolde, they're Paolo and Francesca. Nobody's in total thrall like this anymore. Nobody's overcome by passion like this, or goes through this kind of rage." Does anybody know whether you can enter both the Publics online lottery and virtual lottery. There's 4 of us trying to get 4 tickets total (one for each of us) and can't do the central part line. Is there a way to decline the virtual tickets if you win the in person?
