Okay, who else has seen it.  I am literally overwhelmed by the power of this film.  The fundamental feminism of this film that is aimed squarely at the male action crowd is breathtaking.

LOVED IT!!!!!

Best popcorn movie since SPIDER MAN 2.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

For me it was probably the coolest movie I have ever seen. There is like no dialogue in the movie and you don't feel lost at all. It's a joy from start to damn finish.

This movie just... wow.

I'm not even a big fan of action movies, but it was stellar. Sometimes you see something where all the craftsmanship is almost too much to take in. This is definitely one of those experiences.

Saw it over the weekend -- not seeing what all the fuss is about.  Yes, the nonstop action was impeccably done in every possible way, there's no denying the brilliance of the production, from design to execution.  I'm thinking there'll be some technical Oscar nominations coming for this one.

But outside of the sound and fury, there's not a lot going on here.  It all just felt very remote somehow, I was never moved to give a damn about anyone or anything on that screen.  I never felt more than a passing interest in any of it, and I'm less happy with the film's self-importance, the lead balloon use of the word "redemption" got downright irritating.

I don't know.  Maybe a better sized screen would have helped, and better sound -- I might have gotten that total immersion thing so that I wouldn't have cared about stuff like that.

I too thought it was visually stunning but was left pretty much cold, emotionally. There were a few moments where actually human connecting was going on, but otherwise... meh.  The stunts and choreography were swell, though.

Has anyone who's seen it seen it in 3-D?  And if so, do you feel that component enhanced the film/your experience of the film?

I saw it in 3-D.  I don't see too many movies in 3-D.  I don't think the extra cost (mine was free) enhances the overall experience.  As I stated in the original thread started by Borstalboy, I didn't care for the movie.  All action sequences, no story.  I would love to see a discussion on the plot points (the few there were) that were never explained.

Saw it today. Absolutely crazy, but it was a ton of fun. I mean, the story is nothing, but it's a crazy good time. Plus, it looks beautiful and the editing is probably the best I've ever seen for an action movie.
