The non-profit North Shore Summer Theater Workshop, led by Artistic Director Terry Berliner, is seeking students now in grades 6-12 for our two productions "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" and a "New Works Cabaret" featuring some of the best new songs in musical theater today.  Our six-week program of intensive study in all aspects of the dramatic arts runs Mondays through Thursdays, June 29 to August 6, from 2 pm to 6 pm (with evening hours added for tech rehearsals in the last two weeks) in the air-conditioned performing arts facilities of North Shore High School in Glen Head on Long Island.  Students can audition for performance roles or work exclusively behind the the scenes, and will have various responsibilities in both productions.  Public performances are July 31, August 1, 7 & 8.   Program tuition is $1,700 and includes 150+ hours of instructional, rehearsal and performance time; daily snacks and tech week meals; all rehearsal and production materials, two reserved seat tickets for each performance (or up to 12 in any grouping) and more.   For program details, visit our website www.summertheaterworkshop.org.   The Summer Theater Workshop is run by North Shore Arts Angels, Inc. a non-profit foundation devoted to enhancing arts education opportunities and deepening community connections through the arts.  The program is NOT affiliated with the North Shore School District, but uses its facilities under a license agreement with the board of education.
