Yeah i wondered if she was taking on too much with this show and tony hosting. It's the most demanding role on Broadway right now. I'm sure she will come out of it with flying colors though. She's a tough cookie.

^ It won't affect her chances at all. She's performing through illness, like professionals do. She's missed four or five performances (out of close to 100) so far. Compared to her co-star, she's been a rock.
It helps no one to wildly speculate, based on one tweet, that Kristin Chenoweth won't finish her run.
I saw OTTC last night....actually came to NYC all the way from Montana to see it and Cheno. She was amazing. Didn't miss a beat. I knew she was sick....and did notice her having a sip of something every now and then and her speaking voice was a bit horse but her singing voice was superb. I feel so grateful that she went on. It was an experience of a lifetime. She is a tough cookie and a pro.
It's very important not to miss performances during the month of May as many Tony voters will be seeing the show. It can absolutely affect her chances if she has absences this month.
This topic came up when patina Miller got sick and she still won. Kristin will be fine. The point is, she is still going on even when she is sick performing one hell of a performance.

What I meant was that her illness could affect her chances one way or another. Ether Tony voters will be impressed with how she's able to still go on with the show, or the illness might affect the performance in someway.
And if she's absent and they can't reschedule, they won't be voting for her. Hopefully she won't be missing much this month. I am looking forward to revisiting her performance on May 20th.
I'm sure she will be fine. She knows how to take care of herself and her passion is performing on stage. She's a perfectionist. She'll get through it and be glamorous!
"I'm sure one of the reasons she tweeted that was to let Tony voters know that she's ill and to judge her performance accordingly.
dcbwayfan, I'm so glad you loved the show!
I
While I'm sure that the actors enjoy winning awards/recognition for their performances, I think it would be pathetic if they were as obssessed with the Tonys as much as Message board posters seem to think they are and as much as the posters themslves are.

It's not wild speculation except in your overactive brain. It's on everyone's mind due to the fate of Madeline Kahn.
I have no doubt that she was quite ill or would not have missed any performances. It seems like she went back before she was completely recovered and that is reason for a little worry.
She is such a delicate little thing, remember when they tried to kill her with a big light on the set of THE GOOD WIFE? She should get out of Show Biz NOW!
her u/s will be going on the Saturday evening performance before the Tony Awards(June 6), Their show on June 7 has been cancelled. I have to wonder why her u/s simply couldn't do the June 7 show as well.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I don't understand why her tweeting she's sick should have any effect on the Tony OR mean that she's likely to drop out.
She as a bronchitis that's lingering because she has asthma. She missed 4 performances last weekend, but she did the full 8 shows this week despite of not being 100% recovered yet. I saw the show today and aside from a few coughs during the beginning of the show, she would have not been able to tell that she was sick at all. Her energy level was as high as ever, she didn't miss a beat and she didn't miss a single one of her high notes either. I don't know how she does it, but she does. If you need any indication that she will NOT follow in Miss Kahn's footsteps, that would be it.
Also, Judy Kaye was just fine for several months after Madeline Kahn left.
Jeffrey loves to be wildly speculative with less than no basis for what he says. I've learned to ignore him.
If she's sick, she will perform through it to the best of her ability. Or if not, she has a capable understudy. This will not affect her "chances" and she won't drop out. Jeez.
