Pardon the plug, but this segment can only be appreciated by Broadway fans.

While Denis Jones was in town choreographing a new Frank Loesser show, I challenged him to a Broadway/Pop Culture Dance-off.

Thanks Joey for this fun little segment.  I was hoping that he'd ask you to dance something from "Chicago"...like the opening from "All That Jazz" (the hand sunburst and pippin).  Roman in Austin, Texas (sort of a big fan of "Chicago")

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Thanks, Roman.

Yeah, I'm surprised no CHICAGO moves. The Turkey Lurkey almost sank me.

So Denis Jones is not only an amazing talent, but quite a good sport as well.  2014 looked like a breakout year for Denis - choreographer for Honeymoon In Vegas and director / choreographer for Piece of My Heart (for which he just received a Lucille Lortel nomination).  Thanks for sharing this great clip, Joey!

That was charming! Don't apologize for plugging...honestly! Nice job!

I agree. He's not only a great talent and a good sport, but he's a smart artist.

In addition to his theater work, I also  think he has a future in the talk show circuit. He's fun on camera!

Feel free to come and plug us again, Joey.

And we don't just say that to every blogger. As a matter of fact, we never say that to ANY blogger.

But try doing this for your next dance-off:

Ok PalJoey.  The Nitty Gritty is fabulous, but I'm betting if that had come up... we both would've lost!
