They are listed as obstructed for On The 20th, but they are a steal at 67 bucks? Anyone have any experience in them and how bad are they? Is it better to sit closer or farther back in the box?

The boxes are fine. I think people tend to over exaggerate whenever a seat has an 'obstructed view'. It's not a perfect view, but it's not a bad one either. I would rather be in the boxes than in the rear mezzanine.

Kushemski and Vanda are like Tristan and Isolde, they're Paolo and Francesca. Nobody's in total thrall like this anymore. Nobody's overcome by passion like this, or goes through this kind of rage." Normally I'd agree. I'm the kind of theatre-goer who usually says "the closer the better," but The American Airlines theatre is very intimate, and I've actually found that the rear-mezzanine there is excellent.

I sat in the box seats for On The 20th Century. Views were fine, but you did miss part of the action on the side of the stage nearest you. This is a small theater, the rear Mezz seats are elevated and would be better seats.

We think we will try the box seats since we prefer to be closer to stage.  Any advise on whether to shoot for seats 1&3 or 7&9 in the box?  Also, is it better to go with left vs. right box?  Thanks in advance for any advice.

I would shoot for the left box, simply because K.C.'s earliest scenes take place stage right, and the seats that are the furthest back in the box (7 and 9 from the looks of it) would be the best choice. Before I joined Roundabout's HipTix program, the boxes were my go-to seats because they were cheaper. Now being a Gold Member in their HipTix program, I get seats either far right or far left front orchestra for $25.

I've only been in the right box, because most of Kristin's scenes are stage left, i.e. very close to the right orch. However, if you don't care so much about seeing her very close-up I would recommend the left box because you get a clear view of stage left where most the action is happening. Nothing much on the very edge of stage right that would potentially obstructed.

And def the ones in the back.

Does anybody know how the orch boxes compare to the balcony boxes? I've wondering if I should try balcony but it's so hard to tell...
