Saw the first preview. Really like it. It's a play about race and gentrification. Acting is uniformly good. Dialogue is very believable. And at times the tension is so high that you are vey anxious/afraid what might happen next. And from what I overheard in the lobby after the show, a lot of people felt the same. I suspect this type of play is the favorite kind for Pulitzer award's attention. The only quibble I have is I don't completely buy in the friendship between two leads, but that doesn't make me enjoy the play less.

Saw this at the Goodman in Chicago. The play was fine, performances were ok, with the down-on-his-luck friend a real standout. The ending rang false to me, but curious to find out what work as been done on the play to strengthen what the playwright is trying to accomplish with the ending.
