Can you please list for me any songs you can think of that have layered parts. What I mean by that is either a song like "All for the Best" from Godspell where there are two or more separate parts that fit together nicely when sung together, or like "Money" from Cabaret, which at one point have the same lyric sung by two people, one slightly after the other. Preferably these would be upbeat songs.
The most famous one is "You're Just in Love" from CALL ME MADAM.
Others:
"Old-Fashioned Wedding" (1960s revival of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN)
"Lida Rose/Dream of Now" THE MUSIC MAN (also "Pick-a-little"/"Good Night, Ladies" -- the score has so many quodlibets they actually cut one and only sing "Good Night my Someone" and "76 Trombones" separately)
"Tonight" reprise (WEST SIDE STORY)
"Play a Simple Melody" from the film THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS
"You're Gonna Love Tomorrow"/"Love Will See Us Through" FOLLIES
These are just some of my favorites. The list could be practically endless.
Coney Island Boat (By the Beautiful Sea) A Balloon Is Ascending (Ben Franklin in Paris) Pine Cones and Holly Berries (Here's Love) Love Let Me Know (Let It Ride!)

If I'm getting the concept of your question right, there are several examples of this in Dogfight: Come to a Party (the reprise mostly), That Face, First Date Last Night
Now, Later, Soon and Now/Later/Soon from A Little Night Music. The first three appear to be completely different songs, then they come together in an encore of sorts as one song in three contrapuntal layers.
