You're right. That's why I posted it on the West End forum and not on the Broadway Board. But if you want to arrange something, please send me a PM. I'd be delighted to help you out.

It's a shame that this is the only official version of the show ever put onto DVD. It's the very definition of what a community theater production looks like.
You must be joking. When I have a look at some of Sondheim's original productions (Sunday, Into the Woods) I think there nothing this production should be ashamed of ! By the way, Opera de Toulon is not community theatre at all !

I liked Charlotte Page as Sally (even if I can't understand why she was dressed like a beggar woman in Losing My Mind) and Julia Sutton sang a brilliant Broadway Baby. I enjoyed Liz Robertson as well, but she's not for everyone's taste. Nicole Croisille was okay, but her performance seemed to be very inspired by Elaine Paige's; and I loved the four "young". But the staging, the costumes, the scenery are all pretty amateurish, imo. The true triumph of this production is the orchestra, which is amazing and played the hell out of the score.
All things considered, I'm glad I didn't go to see it in Toulon as I originally planned! But I would like to know what "thespian geek" means with "very French"...
I'm not sure you can blame an actress for playing the part as it is written. Nicole Croisille is a brilliant actress who needs nobody to catch the essence of a part usually... and I must admit that her character may be one of the most shallow in the show.
