I am auditioning in a community theatre production of "Legally Blonde: The Musical." The audition is 16-bars, and I'm seriously struggling with choosing a song. I was leaning towards "Watch What Happens" from "Newsies" since I'm a mezzo-soprano. My only fear is the fact that Newsies is a very recent musical. So, does anyone have any other recommendations?

I always do pop for Legally Blonde, but I had a belter song written for my voice off thesongforyou.com. They put music to it and had a singer record a really good version of it so I can sing along. It was 200 bucks, but honestly you get what you pay for. Break legs

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
